I have this on our refrigerator and refer to it every time I'm tempted to rescue someone. As a kid I loved watching Lassie but that kid Timmy was always falling in the well or something! Makes for good TV but not real life.

Someday it'll write a post abut the messes I've gotten while trying to rescue somebody else. It is hard to let people you love to be responsible for their own actions.
Great cartoon.
That's a great cartoon. I didn't see any of the Lassie movies or TV shows cos I was a child back in the dark ages...didn't even have electricity when I was little... but I get the picture!
I've just been catching up on blogs (busy babysitting weekend!) so I'll have to think about my 6 word memoir. Thanks for the tag!
Rescue....I have done it a number of times myself. Steve does it with money, me with excuses these days. We don't have a kid under 30 between the two of us. Called enabling.
Some people thrive on rescuing others! I know at least one, and I'm glad he's that way.
(My meme is up)
Mom, I hope you do and I look forward to reading them.
Ms. Shammy, from no electricity to computer whiz? What a lot of changes you've seen! I look forward to your meme.
Rosemary, the cartoon resonated with me because - well, you know.
Kenju, you're a good sport. I'm gong to check your meme!
