We will soon be in the market for a new water heater and are considering whether or not to get the traditional type or a tankless one. Do you have or know someone who has a tankless type? Any thoughts for or against?

Enjoyed your site and couldn't help responding to your question about the tankless hot water heaters. I've just done some research on that for my website http://www.hotwaterheatersonline.com, and have a couple of articles on it you might find helpful. I also wrote another article for publication that is more "Do you need a new tankless water heater" with more discussion pro & con.
The answer of course is "it depends!" on different factors like what type of heater you want (gas or electric), what you want the unit to do, your current plumbing setup etc. Let me know if you'd like me to email you the article.

Rosemary, I kept waiting for her to have one - thought of it as a rite of passage or something. But one is enough. And holey, moley what do you feed Sophia?
Science Diet senior, inside cat, hairball food...she should be a tax deduction.
