The Results Are In - All Good!

DH got the results from his medical tests today and hooray, all clear. The surgeon told him he was in remarkable shape, no signs of cancer, see you in 6 months. How blessed are we?!

More blessings? You bet.

DD started her job yesterday.
18-year old grandson just got a new job that will allow him to continue his education and work too - a job with regular hours and benefits!
My Medicare card arrived.

Are political questions too hot to handle in a blog? Any reactions to Obama's speech today? I'll stick my neck out and say that if my Pastor held the same views that Rev. Wright did I'd find a new church home but do people hear things differently? Is what sounds like hate an inspirational message to others? I'm willing to learn, open-minded and curious.

Many congratulations to you all.... to husband for getting a good medical outcome, for daughter and grandson for the new jobs, and YAY for getting your medicare card.
I can't comment on Obama's speech, haven't heard it yet.
Regarding the quilts, I think some of the quilts are sold at the new Hamburg Mennonite Relief Sale every spring.
see this link
http://www.nhmrs.com/quilts.html
but I don't know if they can be sold on line or not. This is a huge annual quilt sale, selling mainly by auction. Perhaps the web site will tell you if they can be purchased on line.

Thank you - the web site says the quilts will be available online beginning May 2008. When I was in Minnesota with my mother, the ladies quilting group let me add a few stitches to the quilt they were working on. What a lovely tradition!

Your cup is overflowing with blessings!
That preacher wasn't preaching the same gospel that I know.

WHOO TO THE WHHOODEEHOO......GREAT NEWS on all fronts.....how much more will it cost to use M/Care if any? I did not hear all of the speech...I'm with you....I'd be out the church door. Sad that the Democratic party can't get it together...I had such high hopes.

Stephanie, so looking forward to hearing about your cruise and I'll try hard not to be too jealous!

Mom, not the gospel I know either!

Rosemary, under Medicare you pay so little for medical care that it makes turning 65 a joy! And I too had such high hopes re the election.
